These mailing lists are hosted at Yahoogroups. You create an account there so they know who you are and how to send mail to you. Then, you join the mailing lists that interest you.

You should probably supply an e-mail address that is not important to you. Although your webmaster's tests indicate that Yahoo does not send junk mail to subscribed addresses, it is possible for spammers to join newsgroups and harvest e-mail addresses that way, so you don't want to pollute a good address.

a general interest mailing list that pre-dates the Society. You need not be a member of the Society to subscribe to this list.

FECtech

is a moderated mailing list limited to technical discussions about the F.E.C. and railroading. There are several F.E.C. operating employees on this list who can provide the Real Answer when you have that tough question about how the big boys do things. This list is also open to all.

FECRS_N

oNeTRAK modelers building F.E.C. modules discuss their work here. N-scale modeling is great for those with limited space, such as appartment dwellers. Modelers discuss what areas to model, where to get parts and cars, how to make scenic elements, and so forth. The modules are assembled into a huge layout at the annual F.E.C.R.S. membership convention and operating sessions allow everyone to join the fun.

A mailing list for those interested in constructing H.O. scale modules to model a portion of The Florida East Coast Railway to set-up and run at Society membership conventions and operating meets.

All F.E.C.R.S. members should be subscribed to the FECRS mailing list at Yahoogroups to keep updated on conventions, meetings, and club business. All directors and team members are there to answer questions. Plus, this mailing list is used to notify members quickly of information affecting them.
